I'm 75% done with the 1970 Kellogg set in straight PSA 9, but am finding it difficult to finish off the set. Ebay has been really slow lately. Can anyone help me out with any of the following;
#15 Frank Robinson - I have a raw one to be submitted, but If I can get one already graded the better
#16 C. May
#17 B. Singer
#18 R. Reichardt
#19 J. Powell
#20 G. Perry
#21 B. Robinson
#24 M. Epstein
#28 M. Alou
#29 W. Stargell
#60 B. Murcer
#73 D. Mclain
Thanks
Dave

All of these cards listed below have always been the tougher cards in the set and at one time some were selling for amounts upwards of $200 Almost all of the ones below were always in short supply and tougher to get ... Now with the soft pricing on most of the commons on this issue the submissions are just not flowing in like they used to....So the tough cards have just about vanished....

Good luck in your quest. Jeff
When examining these cards under a loupe, what are the key things to zero in on for this issue?

<< <i>Tell me about it.... I've been looking around like mad to finish off this set and just can't seem to find any available. I have about ten nice raw 70's to submit including a Banks which is absolutely flawless. The raw ones that I've seen at the shows lately always seem to have an obvious flaw. I did pick up a nice Reggie Smith at the last show in Rosemont, IL a while back.

I have a few hundred extra PSA graded 1971 Kellogg's cards. E-mail for price list. Looking for 1970 Topps Supers in PSA 9 too.
Obviously one needs to do all things one normally does with any another card . Check the corners ,centering and the back of the card etc... etc..
When I am looking at cards for PSA 9 I tilt the card every way I can under a light and see if I can catch any scratches on the surface which almost always result in bump down to a PSA 8. find this is a much more effective and quicker method than pouring over a card with a loop. After that I place the card in a card saver 1 and let it sit in the holder for a week. I then check the card again very closely for cracks. I have found about 5-10% of K cards crack. This step usuially catches 80-90% of the cards that crack and saves on grading fees.... Hope this helps... Jeff
