1965 Card #404, Stan Williams

Can someone verify for me that the "NY" on Stan's cap was colored in by Topps? It stands to reason since he is listed as an Indian but I just want to make sure.

I tried looking for scans amongst the sets on the registry but couldn't find this card. Kudos to Cornholio and Magellan for including scans with their sets. 1965 is a beautiful set (in my opinion) and there are too few sets with scans on the registry.

Thanks for the links; I should have checked eBay myself. In the first one, the cap is so dark that you cannot see the NY but the second one clearly shows the NY having been blackened out. I assume this difference is based on the scan and not a variation of the card itself. Anybody know?

The NY was airbrushed out....no other variety exists. A few guys that were traded after being photographed by topps have simalar cards, one JIM GRANT is on the TWINS yet his card appears to be from the INDIANS. The twins were a purple color while the Indians were blue. I agree the 65 set is a beaut, and if i was computer literate id include scans as well.
