I would venture to say the SBA and the Shriver commem dollars. Just plain ugly!
Any others?

You mean, even Opus?
The market has been literally flooded with so many fakes, that you can't hardly
find any to collect.
Plus there are so many fakes that people actually think they are real now.
Maybe they should offer a free or very low cost service to authenticate fakes
as being fakes and give them a grade based on how good of a fake they are?
I don't like the manufacturers of such either.

Get them down to about FA02 and ALL coins start to look pretty good.

What's wrong with leper colony coinage? I have a very nice collection of Leper pieces. Still need some of the 1913 Phillipines and Venezuela Maricaibo pieces. And my coins ARE circulated.

The designs are just so plain and boring and two dimensional to me in comparison to some of the works of art the mint produced in earlier years. A lot like the current stamps being cranked out, which I think are boring and lifeless compared to the stamps from the late 19th and early 20th century which looked like currency with their intricate designs.
On the other hand, I like Bar Cents and Church Pennies, and you can't get any more boring than that.

As conder mentioned, leprosarium coinage is actually quite collectible.
And I have one of those Liberian "Morgan dollars" in a PCGS PR69 slab.
(Not that I like it that much, but I figured it would sell well in my antique mall booth.)
The Shriver commem is definitely ugly and the SBA is pretty frumpy-lookin', too. But I'll bet they both have their proponents, somewhere.

where is Rosebud or Hodgepodge ?
<< <i>I'm sure that we can all agree that the world would be a better place if we didn't need one of these to complete a Morgan set. The more I think about it, the more I hate the coin.

Oh ya Andy, especially "ugly" ones like this one. Hahahaha.
