I have to say this is the nicest Frank I have ever seen, congrats! (If you own it)
Well, I have visitation rights to it.
I know that coin! I sold it a few months ago on ebay and I am still using a picture of it as wallpaper on my computer. It is a stunning coin. mike
Man, that's a ka-winky-dink. I bought it on e-bay a couple of months ago. I gave it to the wife as a 6 year anniversery present. I was really happy with it when it came in.
Without seeming to sound negative, would someone please be so kind as to explain to me what would cause Lucy's Franky to tone this way? I am not trying to imply or incinuate anything, I am just curious for future reference.
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

It was probably in a album a number of years... my guess is a blue whitman (not the cheap ones, the kind with the plastic sleaves.) The part of the coin in contact was where the toning started, and it spred from that area inward. Just my guess.
Has the paper composition of the albums changed that much over the years? I have some unc BU cents in an old Whitman Blue album with the plastic sliders (circa 1970?) but they never toned like that. Granted they were not silver but I am still curious how the coin could tone so dark on the edges and yet still have a relatively clear appearance in the center.

I've seen a roos. dime set in one of those old whitman albums that had some dimes in it that had a real pleasent spotty blue toning moving in from the rims. I suspect that the same thing happend to this dollar that I picked up a couple of years ago from JBStevens.
Thanks for the info. I guess, with all the talk and chatter about AT coins, I just want to make sure I don't pick up any "blow torch" blue body baggers!
