Question on Submission

I'm going to submit some coins sometime this week. My question is more in the preparation of the package. Everything is pretty much ready to go. All the coins are in there flips, but do you put them in anything else to keep them together. I had them in a ziploc bag, but took them out for fear of hazing or spotting. There are some business strikes and some proof coins in there. I just wanted to know what everyone else did.

Thank for the help
Dave

Be sure to slip a slice of pizza in there, in case the graders get hungry. Sausage is preferable to pepperoni. Canadian bacon is good and can cause some neat toning. Avoid anchovies, though- those cause black streaks.

Since they're already in flips, the Ziplock bag will not hurt them. Just make sure there's plenty of padding in-between and around the coins. (LordM the coins are going to SoCal, so a slice veggie pizzia is more appropriate.)

Maybe so, but lasagna doesn't mail as well.

Serious answer to question: bigd349- I usually stick the flips in old 20-pocket pages and fold the pages to the right size to fit in the envelope or box. I never throw away old 20-pocket pages, because even after they get too scuffy-lookin' to display coins in, they're still good for shipping, and you can cut 'em down to however many pockets you wanna use.

Did you get the coins I sent yet? I finally took the camera out of the box and played with it a little, but I am far from having any clue what I'm doing.
