You have to love this pricing logic

Saw an ebay listing for: 1965 SMS set - all MS68/MS69 CAMEO - $353K
ebay link

So I asked:
Just want to know where you got your prices. I am interested in other things you have posted, but if you really believe what you are posting here, I am not sure I can trust your other postings

and I received this response:

pcgs.com/prices However, all but one of the coins is off the pcgs scale. The 1965 SMS 1c Lincoln at MS69 DC is to set to $575 at MS65 CA. This coin is 4 grades above that and it is DC, not just CA. The coin starts at 10 and goes to $2500 at MS69 in regular. So, $575 * 250 = $143,750 for just CA so multiply by 2 for DC and round up - gives a low $300,000 value. The 1965 SMS Jefferson 5c caps out at $3000 for MS67 DC and this is two grades higher. So, the next grade would be $6000 and nest higher grade would be $12000 (at least) and so I lowered it down to just $10,000. The 1965 SMS Roosevelt 10c list at $900 in MS68 CA and this is MS69 DC. A major coin company has listed this exact coin PCI MS69 DC for $50,000 (I have pictures to prove it) and I am listing it as just list $15,000 The 1965 SMS Washington at MS69 CA was taken from the $1650 in MS67 and this is MS69 which is two grades higher. The $25000 is not out of range. The 1965 SMS Kennedy is listed as shown at $3000.

"Probably the highest 1965 SMS set ever sold on ebay."

    That's highest priced.

Great looking set. That Lincoln is particularly is one great looking DCAM. $353K seems like a bargin. Should go for at least $1/2 million, I should think!

I was thinking of bidding $35, but I guess he thinks this junk is worth an $800 starting bid. I sure hope nobody falls into this trap.

Apparently this seller attended the Crapmovers school of "proximal relationship" valuation.

Let's see... If I had $350K, would I spend it on the 1965 want-to-be proof set or buy a Proof-63 1885 Trade dollar? ummm tough choice, any suggestions?

Why isn't anyone bidding? The set is worth $353K, but its starting at just $800. OK, so maybe $353K is high, and its only worth $250K, it's still a deal isn't it. Heck, a 65 Lincoln in 69DCAM has got to be worth a fortune. Is everyone just waiting until the last minute to try to snip it? I was getting ready to put in a hidden bid of $1/2 million, but I am thinking now of going in for less.

I'm not sure why he'd post that question on his ad image

Q: Are you trying to sell $40 worth of coins for $800 by saying they are worth $353,000? Do you think anybody will fall for that con?
