Nicely toned barber.

Too bad it was in a fire and got molten metal splashed on it, and ruined it. image

  • I would love to see what ANACS would say about that one.

You can't fool me this is a failed attempt at coin doctoring.

If you look closely, you'll notice some environmental damage.

    Teletrade:

Gentle grayish-brown toning, with attractive sea green highlights, slightly obscures the deep rich luster of this obviously original piece. Only a few highly unobtrusive, well concealed gashes and crustations. A true center-piece Barber meant for the finest of collections. Very attractive.

Always looking for original, better date VF20-VF35 Barber quarters and halves, and a quality beer.
  • Almost 75% of the date is destroyed. Don't think they'd get much other than "19" and a Denver mint.. Besides, don't have the extra money, nor a "subscription" to ANACS or SEGS (assuming they need one). Hell, I don't evenhave one with PCGS, just a message board acct.

Also got a few bucks worth of toasted Kennedy's (nothing older than '71), two roasted quarters, and a few other burnt to a crisp coins.

  • Actually, I think I CAN make out the date
I can see a "1" on there, and a "3" looks melted and moved to the right...

    image
  • And now that I look closer, I can see a second "1" after the initial "1", making it 1911...

This is the first barber thread I've seen here that I didn't like.

If that coin is for sale I'd like to buy it to put next to the Kennedies in my coin toilet seat.

The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.
  • If either you or braddick make me an offer I can't refuse (with this quarter, not like it'd take much at all...), then sold it shall be.

  • Next time that I have a coin that I can not sell, I'm going to go to the barn and hammer on it for awhile. Then it will sell quickly here.image
