The 1985D is readily available in FS in lower grades (MS64 and below). It is obtainable in MS65FS with a little bit of work. In grades MS66FS and above (I believe there is 1 MS67FS) they are very difficult to find. I have been selling PCGS MS65FS 1985D's for 75.00 lately. In my opinion the 85D in MS65FS is a better date coin but it is not a key. The keys for the 65-present set in 65FS would in my opinion be the following coins:
The coin isn't bad and may well be worth MS-65 money but the reverse can be improved. The steps look a little iffy under the third column and the scatch is pretty prominent in the scan even if it isn't in hand. Nickels from that era are tough to find both well struck and mark free. Surprisingly they are not overly tough well struck and mark free isn't a big problem but finding both will prove a challenge. The '85-D is especially tough because one side or the other is of- ten marked up. You can find many coins with one side which are very nice, but the other side won't be.
No doubt Rayovacs list is dead on for MS-65 FS nickels but this list would be a little different if you desire sharp full strikes and attractive surfaces. The '69-S and '81-P are underrated at least a little if you're looking for 100% strikes.

Beautiful coin. Send that puppy west!

I agree with Ray completely on his list of post '64 Jeffs.
