Question on flips

When I joined PCGS they sent me there package with some flips in it. I want to know if the flips are safe for proof coins. I know that some flips will cause proof coins to haze and get spots on them.

Thanks
Dave

Yes, they are Saflips (R) and are used for submitting proofs. They are inert and PVC free.

They used to sell/give both hard and soft 2 1/2" flips, but now only distribute the hard flips.

I prefer ET Kointainer 2x2 inert flips.

The issue of haze on proof coins was never the flips, it was the bag the coin was placed in before it was placed in the flip. PCGS is now recommending that proof coins be placed directly into the flip.

Yes, the ones they send are safe for proofs but don't use a poly bag.
