Has anyone ever gone to the Sportcard and Memorabilia Expo in Toronto? Is it worth the trip? Do any of the top grading companies regularly attend this particular show? The 27th show is in November. My wife want to go to in September to visit family if the show is regularly great each year with stars.. graders.. perks.. I'll convince her to go in November.
I wonder if the show is better than their crap on a stick of a site

If you are looking for autographs usually there is one or two recently retired HOF', a few old-time Hall of Famers and some modern players. Canada Post sponsers a booth and they usually have good autograph guests but unfortunately the players will only sign Canada Post items. The organization for autographs is usually poorly done.
If you are looking for raw Hockey singles from the late 60's and 70's you can do quite well. Graded cards are not that available and most of the cards are in the hands of the big dealers who charge significant premiums. You can find pre-war and 1950's cards but most of it is low grade (for the pre-war) and mid-grade (ex, exmt) for the 50's. Memorabilia is quite plentiful and there are some dealers that come from Boston and Detroit who specialize in items from those teams.
There is also quite a bit of modern wax and inserts. Some tables offer decent buys on recent wax.
Parking for the show is good, and the location is fairly accesible with hotels in the area.
