I would assume around $2250.

Most likely coins in the 63-64 range if they're in a mint bag. A few 66's would make it worth messing with. The 78's don't command much premium as raw BU coins. My "guess" is around $1200-$1400. JMO

I had bought a couple of $100 bags of SBA's from the Mint back in 1981.

I took them to sell at a coin shop a couple of years ago and the owner said to deposit them in the bank.

I listed them on eBay and sold one for $158 and the other for $172

The price I quoted was for worth not the price you would recieve. The 2001 Blackbook says in MS60 the coins are worth $2.25 each. The buying price is probably $1.50.

I agree with the honorable Mr. Heath - 78's were the end of the run - they would be more of a novelty than anything else

These have wholesaled as high as $2,200 though there are few active buyers at the
moment. If I wanted to sell one I'd sit on it until November and see what kind of prices
are being offered. These coins come very nice sometimes so it would be difficult not to
check for gems. These are much less frequently seen than they were years ago.
