Thanks for the nice comments. Before I knew about this forum, I considered toned coins to be of lesser quality despite their attractiveness. I felt that a coin should exude luster and be blast white - and original. Now with dipping, I now know that not all blast white coins are "original". This forum continues to add to my knowledge of coins and now I have an enlightened appreciation of toned coins. Base on the PCGS price guide and the beatutiful toning, I think I got a very good deal on this coin.
You got a real nice Franklin there. But... forget the PCGS price guide...it is WAAAYYY off base for Frankies. You can get a much more accurate idea of current values of coins by referring to the auction archives of Heritage and Teletrade.
