I don't know this seller, but you're right. The zero feedback is obviously suspicious, but it's not the typical "Grandpa's attic" or "I know nothing about coins" listing because the seller is correctly using quite a few numismatic terms. So I share your puzzlement.

I'd ask to see a picture of the whole slab. If nothing else, that might show they haven't just lifted pictures somewhere. If they can't produce them, I'd definitely assume they lifted the pictures, don't have the coin, and move on.

Zero feedback seller and zero feedback bidders have pushed up the bid on both coins. Very suspicious, I wouldn't bid unless he accepts escrow or payment via credit card.

-Could be wrong, but that looks like Steven Gonzales coin. He's been on eBay for a few hours now, so it's cool, you can trust him.

I asked the sell for the cert number to the coin. Let's see if I get an answer...
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

Welp, with a seller with 0 and a bidder with 0, something seems out of place. JMHO.image

Oh, to answer your question---NO, I've never heard of him/her
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
  • Looks like a newbie to me, ask some good questions, and do they have a good return policy?

  • Don't know the seller, but in past situations like this I usually go ahead buy the piece and pay someone nearby that you can trust to go pickup and pay for the coin. Just buy it, and email the seller telling him you are going to have a friend come buy with cash and pick up the coin. If it is a legit. deal it should work out fine. If not they will more than likely not respond to you.

So now the question has to be " Do you have any friends in his area that you can ask to help do the deal for you?" Must be a board member close by that would be glad to help you out.

I'd risk a neg to bid a few thousand on that Princess using www.escrow.com

I doubt the seller would agree though. image

    Edit:

There may be a Freudian slip in his Sub-title...

    True Premium Quality never is.

    From the second link:

""One of the nicest looking threes available on the market and without a doubt, the best looking MS64 you’ve ever seen. True Premium Quality never is."""

    Yup, it never is.

    Never be.

    How you be.

    What it is.

  • From the first item description...

    "PCGS 19, NGC 28"

I guess NGC has a better football team than PCGS.

After paying off eBay a couple of hundred bucks, he's got over $8,000 in profits.

Of course that would be reduced if he actually ships the coins.

Not bad for his first eBay auctions.

I'll be curious to see what happens with this seller and these transactions. I hope the winning bidders are as cautious as they SHOULD be, under the circumstances.
