I'm trying to work out a deal for a raw card that I want, and I have offered around $200 worth of graded cards (including an 84 Fleer Ryan PSA 10, an 88 Fleer PSA 10, and an 86 Topps Ryan PSA 9) for a raw card worth around $100. I figured I was giving the dealer a great deal with cards he can easily make a profit on, and I got this email in return:
We deal with next to zero for graded cards, personally I think it's a
horrible fad that is terrbile for the hobby. Graded rookie cards
maybe, anything else, we wouldn't be interested in.
I don't understand this guy - I know some dealers are averse to graded cards, but jeezy peezy

Added: The only dealers that say this are the ones who over grade their inventory.
They probaly compared a few PSA 8's to their stock and found out their cards were not as special as they had thought.
Loves me some shiny!

........put him on your "Don't deal with " list.
If desperate to have this card from this dealer, just ebay'em Ryans and go from there.

PS) One thing you need to remember is that graded cards are a horrible fad. Just ask Mr. Mint !
By the way, what is the card, perhaps I could buy it for you!!
LOL! Yup... but mine is autographed!
