Value of this Roger Maris Signed Item??

Many years ago I obtained an item which was signed by Roger Maris when he retired. It is the October 12, 1968 page of the Sporting News which deals with his retirement. It shows a photo of Maris and his wife at his retirement ceremony and the page is devoted to his career.

Maris signed the photo, "Best Always, Roger Maris" with a black sharpie.

I recently submitted the item to PSA/DNA and it was verified to be totally authentic in all respects and they issued a certificate to this effect.

My question is this: I have a good friend who would like to purchase this piece. As I have no idea of its value, I am posting here to obtain an estimate of a possible retail or auction price. I would like to charge my friend less than the current "market" value, but I need an approximate current price to start with.

Thanks, in advance, for any help.

Ricardo

I would put that somewhere in the neighbothood of $400.00 IMO. Autographed sportscards usually sell between $150 - $300 while 8x10's can go between $500 - $700. image
