Fingerprints and coins

I have a nice morgan dollar with a proof like reverse except for a fingerprint.

Anyway to get it off? If I send it to PCGS for grading will they remove it?

Thanks

  • Probably not. Send it to NGC/NCS. They should take care of it for you.

Yep, not likely to be removable if it has etched in.

Don't forget, you can always sell it and find a better one to replace it.

    Still, I understand your dilemma.

    "Anyway to get it off?"

If it's recent then acetone will remove it; otherwise, learn to like it.

"If I send it to PCGS for grading will they remove it?"

No, but I hear that they might add one.
