1969 topps

Has anyone noticed how if you look at the 5th series of '69 topps, the pictures seems to have a different "shade", almost like a filter was in front of the camera.

Compare it to the other series and you will be able to pick them out every time.

  • That's just one of a number of variations in the 5th series (White Letter variations being the most difficult). There were cropping differences on the checklist cards and the Oliva CL was issued with both a red or white circle on the reverse to name a few. This is a challanging Master set to assemble. Right now I am working on a '67 set but this (or the '65 set) could be my next '60's endeavor. image

The '69 set is my main focus. I'm not chasing the variations as it's difficult enough just to pick up one each of some cards. How are you doing on your set celeste?
