Thanks To The Registry Members at the National

Just a quick note to say thanks to all the Registry members that stopped by my table. It was a pleasure to meet all of you. I hope the show was fun for you all.

A special thanks to King Kellogg for the hospitality (the fruit was great), for organizing things so well and for the great tickets to the game. Even though Bob and I left early (it had been a long day with the 6:45am booth selection for 2005.....and we didn't want to get stuck all night in the parking garage) we really enjoyed the game and the camraderie on a beautiful Buffalo like July night!

Those that signed in on the official sign in sheets at my table included:

Buckwheat (Rob McBride) VERY glad to hear he is doing better
John Basilone (as himself)
Gemint (John Constantino)
GoBoSox (Tom Papa)
Putty (Greg Voit)
Rob Esposito
Ian Riccaboni
Frank Smith
Carkim (Carlos Aponte)
Paul Howard
The 53 Kid (Bruce McCanna)
Quality Cards (Jay Wolt)
RustyWilly (Mark Tylicki)
Wayne Ellis
Tipem (Vic)
Jonnyor
MonstorsOTG (Paul Lehr)

Thanks again guys.

Must have missed the sign in sheet. At any rate, Norty was an INCREDIBLE host. Thanks so much.

I will PM about the 1965 raw cards.

    The Bobs-

I grabbed his #22 Charlie Smith...it is not a 8 but then again it only cost about $2.25

    Norty-

Thanks for putting up with us crowding around your table all weekend. You have very nice raw cards....I now know why the guys flock to your table first.

  • I stopped by Joe (nortys) tabel Saturday to say hello and he was a class act, i talked to a few dealers at the show that need to take lessons from Joe on how to act professional at a show and still be a nice guy. I also ran into Mark (Rustywilly) at the BBCardExchange booth and he seemed very cool, i wish i knew he was such a heavy drinker i would have bought him a beer.image Sorry i missed most of the other Registry guys but i guess theres always next year.image

I have never met or delt with Rob (Buckwheat) but i hope he is doing well and i wish him the best.

Sorry Brian and Dave that I didn't list you (and any others I may have omitted too.). I just went off the list that people signed at the table.

  • Norty -

Must have missed the sign-in sheet, but it was great to meet you! Looks like I got to the 1959's before the hordes did, and I ended up submitting about 25 of them later that day. They looked great, and hopefully they will make a major dent in the set (currently just shy of 90% done).

I look forward to future visits - do you do the Fort?

Maybe in the future you can add 1973's!

    Thanks again!

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.
