Another point is if you look at his other auctions all the "pics" are on different servers. Most times people use the same picture hosting service.

I am collecting 52 Bowmans as well and saw that auction. It gave me a good chuckle.

I thought KSA wasn't a bad company - is this card trimmed or what!

Here's a link to their company. I recollect we talked about this company a long time ago. The holders appear to have changed a bit.

That card in question is NOT a real KSA card. The auction is complete BS and he's just infringing on the KSA name and website as an example. The correct KSA holder is the Kovalchuk example with the black insert which is presently being used. Their first holders were very similar to PSA but changed it. There are just too many companies and not enough acronyms to be shared. KSA is/was/supposed to the Canadian version of PSA (the real KSA that is). From what I've seen, this is a very accesible co. for Canadian collectors to get their cards graded and also save a bundle on shipping to/from the US. Word of mouth is they're okay, but I've never purchased a KSA card in my life and probably never will.
Bottom line is they would never resort to changing their holders to rivets and copying PSA's flip. That card is from a basement operated gig. Stay clear and toss the grenade back.

I'll guarantee you that '52 Bowman Mantle is trimmed. All four borders are WAY too small. Also I had to laugh at their auction of a Honus Wagner E-card (Crofts candy). Their words are "No clue what it is or what it's worth if anything"image

    Thanx Eagle
That's what I thought - someone had posted an older version of a KSA holder back in Feb about a C56 set or something like that and the holder did not have rivets. Wasn't it someone who said they are the PSA of Canada? Altho, some have said the cross would be off by two grades? Don't know just what I recollect someone else saying.

If you thought rivets were bad...this one looks like a top loader with a sticker over the lip.

    "KSA" Mantle

(edited to scale back the language...but the holder sure looks odd, doesn't it?)

Looks like a pre-grade label. Didn't know they did that. Then again, why didn't he just get it holdered? image
