1969 Topps Decals

I opened a couple packs of 1969 Topps baseball today. The packs contained the decal insert. Does anyone know the grading standards for 9/10? Same for cards? They look great but I do not know whether it is worth it to submit. Thanks. David.

The grading standards remain the same for these. The only thing to be on the lookout for is the cut - often, these are miscut and to the untrained eye they look Mint. The photo of the player should actually be high on the card (i.e. top-bottom centering looks off, but it's not).

Just curious, what players did you pull? Scans would be great!

  • check out this loser's shipping charges- $9.95, insurance is another $10. now get this-

"We do not combine shipping. Shipping cost includes Selling and Administrative expenses, including scanning, listing and payment fees, clerical expenses, shipping material, and postage. NO RETURNS ON GRADED CARDS. NO EXCEPTIONS"

that, my friends, is against ebay rules.

  • Thanks for the replies. The fees on that auction are crazy. I will try to post a scan tomorrow of the cards. I also opened a 1972 Topps series 6 baseball pack today and a 1979-80 OPC Hockey pack today. I will post a scan of those cards tomorrow. Those 79-80 OPC cards have some rough edges. They must have cut them with a butter knife.
  • did you get anything PSA 9 worthy in the 79 OPC pack? i will pay $20/ PSA 9 common, plus generous amounts for stars

  • I am having problems posting the scans. Does anybody use a hosting site other than PSA to link their scans?
  • I am going to try to post a link to the scan of the 1969 Topps cards and decal from one of the packs I opened. The pack was from series 1.
