National Day #3 (Saturday!)

I went back for my second look today and spent about 6 hours looking at dealer tables-
I bought 3 more graded cards for my PSA 8 1958 set- two PSA 7s and a PSA 8. All were reasonably priced. Also bought another 5 nrmt raw cards from the set that I think will grade out 7s, one or two may even grade an 8 after looking at the corners under magnification. I got a decent deal on the raw stuff.
I did examine 3 1958 Herrer error cards from the 1958 topps set in the case of 707 sportscards- this was my first time seeing this error in person. I was not impressed. In fact, the examples present all had part of the last letter ("a") visible to some degree- two of the three examples had more of the "a" actually than not. To me this is not a true error (unless the "a" is completely absent). I did see a picture of one once and the "a" was not visible at all. I know Griffens on this board has one and if he reads this I hope he can comment about the final letter in his example and what his feelings are about the card! By the way, if I can recall, a PSA graded 5 example of the error was selling for I think around 4 grand!
In general I found most cards remained overpriced especially with the big name dealers of slabbed cards- these dealers were selling cards now and then but not major quantities- I am sure hours went by at some tables without a single graded card being sold.
More importantly, I tried to gauge the attendance. I would assume that Saturday would be the biggest day. Compared to Thursday, there was definetely a larger crowd. (much of the crowd was congregrated near the autograph section for most of the day, however)
The I-X center is huge so I never really was boxed in or felt in competition with another buyer at a table. I never found my self "lost in a crowd". In fact I don't remember an instance where I was buying something from a dealer and someone else was buying at the same time- I thought that was strange!
My guess is that the atttendance was about average overall for a National but I could be very wrong.
