Question about German 5 Mark.

I was looking through this so-called junk silver lot I recently purchased, and I noticed this 5 mark looked different from the rest. The fields are like mirrors,I can see myself at arms length in it. Is this a proof someone put into circulation,or is it something you normally see in 1965 series? The others that came in the lot have no mirrored surfaces, but they are early in the series.

So what do you think? imageimage

  • The 'shiny' one looks to have been cleaned. There are lots of striation lines running across the fields.

    Polished.
More than likely by a buffing wheel.
If you want the other two to look the same, send them to me and I'll fix them up for you.
The most money I made are on coins I haven't sold.

    Got quoins?
