    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I was wondering the same thing since I'm putting a submission together and want to submit this Bomber's Best card. I will scan it if Aknot will host it for me. Can you give us a scan? I would guess this will come down to a subjective decision based on the concept with "eye appeal" IMO.

It depends how much the "snow" stands out against the background, how much it distracts the eye, and the condition of the card otherwise. If you're saying it would grade 8 without snow, you're going to lose at least 1 grade, maybe 2, if you ask for NQ. But if it's only a few tiny specks that blend with the background and don't distract, the grader has latitude to give you the NQ 8 based on overall eye appeal.

Edited after your scan was posted. I think that's going to get docked. You might get away with 7 if you ask for NQ, but be prepared for 6. Nice sharp card otherwise.

    Thanx Mr. Aknot!
Seeing this card blown up doesn't flatter it - the centering and the light snow tend to make me think this card stays raw.

    That's Mickey's best.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!
  • If that bombers best card would get docked then I'm sure mine would. It has about the same amount of snow but on a much darker background, so it is more obvious. Otherwise the card is just about perfect.

Mike, that's a nice card...the corners look pretty sharp, but be careful of the dreaded OC qualifier...that might be your bigger issue rather than the snow.

I measured it with a linen tester and it comes out better than 70/30 which is the envelope for an clean 8.
don't think the card is good enuff to waste unless we are talkin about the 5$ special.
