Man, I'd think it'd take an alcohalic to read that one!!! Unfortunatly, I can bairly read it. I dont drink, but I have a lot of alcohalics in the family. Maybe I got the gene.
lccoins sells primarily PCGS PR69DCAM moderns. His auctions start at only $1.00 and the shipping is only $1.00. He's just started using PayPal. One of the best sellers on eBay.
I could easily read it too. Then again, I can see the GIA serial number on my wife's certified Princess cut diamond on her wedding ring. If you know what I am talking about, you know why that is impressive. Not supposed to be able to see it without a 15+X loupe.
Because usually wedding rings don't have diamonds? I thought only engagement rings did...
It is a wedding set. The engagement ring and wedding band fit together to form one ring. You are right however, the wedding ring itself usually doesn't have diamonds. My wife's wedding band has diamonds set into the band and has a Colorless/Flawless Princess cut diamond on the engagement ring. It's very pretty. I wasn't gonna go and buy a a ring with diamonds already on it,you can't see them properly to know what grades the would certify at. We bought the diamond separately and had it fitted onto the setting my wife wanted. If you buy a diamond that isn't certified, you had better know the true clarity, cut, and color of the diamond before you drop $3,000.00 on it and you just can't accurately determine the 3-C's when the diamond is already in a setting.
I've bought a couple from them. They are legit and the coins are as advertised. You'll also get put on their mailing list and receive their monthly catalog where they have the better coins.
I'll bet the title of this thread raised some eyebrows in the Morgan-maniac community.
Edit: I see I wasn't the only one who made this observation. Oh well. This can be revenge on all the Morgan people who put nothing but a date and mintmark in their title, assuming you know what kind of coin they're talking about, as if there's no other coins in the world beside Morgan dollars.
That's because you've been brainwashed for so long by Morganomaniacs who think that mentioning the type and denomination of a coin is unneccessary, since Morgans are the only coins to have.

Maybe, but to me there are just certain denominations I think of when someone talks about a date and mint. Say 1914-D, I think cents. 1916-D, I think dimes. 1901-S, gotta be quarters. And with '93-S, I tend to think 1893-S because I'm an "anti-modern bigot" (not really against collecting them; they just don't interest me), and with 1893-S, it's gotta be the Morgan.
Of course, I'm not buying many Morgans these days, since the market is just too crazy right now.
Yep, it is a sample photo. I have bought many coins from LCCoins, and been very happy with them. Never had a problem. As stated above, they mainly sell PR69DCAM material, and lots of it. I do not have a problem with a high-volume dealer like this using sample photos for modern PR69DCAM material.
On the other hand, if a sample photo is used for an eBayer that doesn't sell much, and the coin is more unique than a common 69DCAM modern, I would hesitate with a sample photo.
I am glad to see that they started using Paypal, as that is easier. I do like their $1 shpping.

See ya on the other side, Dudes.
<< <i>because the little white strip has "sample photo" written on it. >>
you could read that??
<< <i>very nice...but I wonder why he covered the registration number? >>
Either it's a sample photo, or he doesn't want registry folk to steal the number.
One thing's for sure -- when I find a coin I've been looking for, I don't broadcast it to the forum until after the deal is done.

Can you folks really get excited over a 10 year old cent???
To each his/her own, but when it comes to moderns like this I'm a Rhett Butler ("frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn").
I also love to go through rolls to find coins.
