hi all,
went to show thursday, first day of general admission, got there about 2 hrs after doors opened.
i`m sure this item would not have lasted long.
1973 candy lids are tough to find, 1970 candy lids are the kind of items you only see pictures of.
i`ve never seen one for sale on ebay, on anyones website, or at any show, EVER !! until last thursday in cleveland !
sorry, johnny bench master set friends, but there will be another grade weight 10 item on the set sometime shortly.
the pic on the left is the 70 (ungraded), the 1973 on the right is from my registry set. (listed both for comparisons)
knock one more "holy grail" item off the johnny bench list ! sweeeeeeet !!!
your friend, lee

this was all i got ! i was only really looking for three particular bench items; (1) 1968 kahns (2) 1970 topps candy lid (3) 1973 topps comics.
so i got one out of three, pretty good considering the rarity of those items.
it was the first day and dealers were more interested in doing biz with each other and visiting each other than dealing cards.
and i like that pic also, we have seen it before with johnny in the 1971 topps set. thanks, lee
