nice toning on these proof sets

I let these 54 and 55 proof sets see the light of day after many years of hiding and I am happy at the toning that has taken place. These are nice coins in really old very scratched cases.

They are both proof sets. The toning is much more vivid than the pics show cause those colored cases muted the colors on the coins.

Myqqy, I got these with paper boy money when I was a kid maybe 35 years ago. I befriended a local coin shop guy (whose name I do not rememberimage) and I used to stop in there constantly looking at his coins. I was about 10 years old and he helped me greatly and used to let me put coins aside and pay him weekly till I paid them up. I must say I have some really nice coins that he set aside for me. He put together this proof set, as well as many others, for me and these have been stored in a bank box for a really long time. You can see in the pic where I pulled off the price tag as a kid and it looks now as it did 35 some odd years ago. I love this hobby.
