Has anyone ever heard of counterfiet Lincoln cents?...

Besides, of course, the 1943 copper. I have a 1953 Lincoln. It makes the damnedest sound when I drop it on a table. It's much thinner too.
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?

Sure. There are cast copies of 1909-S VDB and 1914-D, and likely others. Though really, with Lincolns alteration is much more common than struck copies.

Don't know why someone would want to counterfeit a 1953 Lincoln, but I don't know why someone would strike thousands of fake 1944 Jeffs, either.

The 1955 DDO is also counterfeited.
