Important message on Rob McBride

Last night Rob had a heart attack but from what I'm to understand he's ok and doing fine.

Yesterday afternoon I met Rob and his dad with Hartlandman. We had a couple beers and Rob's father shared a few nice WWII stories and RV adventures.

He seemed just fine at that point,so this news was shocking to catch wind of.

From what I'm to understand,it happened after the game last night and Rob drove himself to the hospital only worried about his father while having a heart attack.

Anyhow,Larry says he's doing fine and looks great,so don't worry.

However, say a prayer for the guy and hopefully he'll be in good shape soon.

Thanks!

Larry said they went to visit him and he was in good spirits. His only concern was dear old dad.
I guess they were all talking about what's going on and in the middle of conversation the TV showed the convention on the news and that silenced the room.image

I think tomorrow we'll have to go pay him a visit,I'll forward everyone's blessings.

I'm thinking about Rob, this is the start of a new lifestyle for him . Modern heart medicine and surgeries are great though, they've made great strides. ( I had one in2001 with subsequent angioplasty).

    Hang in there Rob !

I went to visit him today with a bunch of the guys and it was really reassuring- he looked and sounded great. I had never met him before yesterday but went to the ballgame with him and his dad and he is really a great guy. I think he's getting out of the hospital either Saturday or Sunday and heading home.

God bless and a speedy recovery.

    Best,

    S.
  • It's because I was late getting the baseball game tickets to him, isn't it?

I put too much stress on him, didn't I?

I caused him undue worry, frustration, fear....

    It's all my fault!!

I called Rob yestrday on my way don't to the show.I let him know that everyone here is pulling for him.Unfortunatly I had to leave a message since cell phones are not allowed in hospitals but I'm sure he'll eventually get the message.

I'm terribly sorry to have brought this news to the board, but its one of our good friends and it's important that everyone here knows that Rob needs our blessings and support.

  • A few of us had the chance to visit Rob in the hospital. He was recovering well and in fact looked better than some of us image. He requested a beer and asked for an update on how everyone was doing at the show. Last time I spoke to Rob, his family had flown in and he was going to be discharged from the hospital on Sunday to drive home with his family.

Dammit! Rob had a heart attack? He's only like 34 years old! That really sucks! I never met this guy in person, but we have been chat pals for around two years now. Whenever I asked him if he quit his smoking habit, he'd tell me to shut up. image Just recently the poor guy had to sell his baseball card collection in order to pay for his damn hospital bills...damn dog attacked him...and now this.

Make sure you post and let us know how you're doing, Rob.
