It has decent luster that isn't showing so good in the scan.

I think there is enough detail on high points on the cap to go 53

Nice overdate! Looks very original, the curl 2 1820/19 is one of the most visible overdates in the series. I would have said AU50, but will go with AU55 if you say the luster is decent. This variety usually has a rather flat obverse strike. The square 2 20/19 comes with a better strike and is a bit more scarce, but the overdate is not as bold. This is sub-design type 4 (1817 - 1824), where Robert Scot made a new master die, lowered the relief (probably for better striking), and added finer hair detail. When John Reich left in 1817, the scalloped 13th star (his signature), was no longer found.
And Nysoto, once again thanks for a wealth of information. Everybody should pay close attention to Nysoto's posts. Very informative, and a public thanks for all the help you have given me!!! I'll post the grade after a while.
Nice coin! I like it as an AU55.

Any input?
I believe NGC did a good job putting this in a AU53 holder. Luster is king on these, and while the image doesn't show it too well, it does indeed have decent luster. Not great, but decent. And also takes on some nice color as well.
