1955-S "LIBIERTY" Lincoln Cent...More Info Please

Does anyone have any good info on this variety??

An unusual die break between the B and E in LIBERTY makes the word appear as LIBIERTY. It's a rather prominent attribute, but the coin is not listed in Redbook, Breen, or Cherry Picker's. A client just showed me a flashy example, MS64RD-ish, and I couldn't give him a value.

Any info is much appreciated. Sorry no pic.

Nothing special. It's a very common die break on cents from that era. I have at least 10 of them, and they aren't of any value.

They are common and occurred on many different date/mints. There even used to be a club for people who collected them, but I guess interest waned. I think I once bought a BU 1955-S example for a quarter.

I have a few dozen of these in BU that I tried moving on eBay a couple of years ago with microphotos showing all the detail for a buck each, and didn't sell a single one. I gave up on them.

Yah, they're an interesting numismatic novalty, but there's just no market for them. It helps the generic BU coin sell... but doesnt add any premium.
