Hello, again, Reece. You landed in the right place. Now, go to your profile and turn on your PM (private message) function. This will allow others to contact you privately.

I collect (non-condition census) NO gold. I would prefer to collect CC NO gold, but I cannot afford it. Circulated New Orleans gold is still interesting and challenging. There are a few others here that do, as well. You should consider joining the Southern Gold Society. PM me for more information.

OK Thanks again for your help!! One other function question, how do you get a picture by your name, to sort of identify yourself? Yes I am a member of the SGS I joined last year and went to their meeting @ the Fun show in Orlando this last Jan. I also took the gold class with David Crenshaw at the ANA headquarters two weeks ago taught by Doug Winter and Robert Rhue, it was fantastic!! Any time you want to talk NO gold just let me know!! Thanks Reece

Go back to your "profile" and select an author icon. May I suggest "39O", which is:

from the obverse of my 39-O quarter eagle.

On the 15th of the month, you have the opportunity to upload your own icon. Until then, you are free to choose from any of the existing ones.

I/we look forward to your participation in the forum.

I've had one or two common-date, slider O-mint $10 Libs in the past, but that's about it.

<< <i>how do you get a picture by your name, to sort of identify yourself? >>

Click the little tab that says "Profile", and you can choose an author icon from the list where it says "Select the author icon you wish to use". If you click "View All" to see all the choices, though, it will take a bloody long time to load the page, even with a DSL connection. On the 15th of each month, and only on that one day each month, members are allowed to upload custom icons of their own creation, provided they are 1) no bigger than 100 X 100 pixels in size and 2) no greater than 10KB in filesize, and 3) not distasteful or obscene, obviously. (#3 is why we lost the ability to upload custom icons all the time- some trolls were creating naughty icons). On the 15th of each month (or the business day before or after, if Icon Upload Day falls on a weekend or holiday), you will see a box that allows you to upload your icon, if you click "Profile".

Edit: I see RYK beat me to the info about icons. His "39-O" icon would look good on you until you get one of your own.

Hi Reece! Welcome to the FUNhouse! I've never owned any NO gold, though I do prefer extinct mintmarks on my 19th century silver.
