take a look at this Ike

HI gang,

since all of the talk about Ikes lately, i figured i would look around and see what was on ebay. Since i do construction safety as name implies I like to give out dollars as safety awards. I have given out the SAC dollars and they went over well but i thought since i just bought a 76 proof set maybe the guys and gals would like to get ikes for a spot award. I am going to try and see if I can buy some circulated at as close to face value as i can since the company does not reimburse me for this.

Anyway back to question, What do you think of the toining on this Ike? ebay auction # 3921640225

i may not have been at this coin collecting thing for long but this toning looks like AT. it sems to radiate from the center like heat was applied? Am I right on this or is this NT?

Thanks, Ken

JUst click on gototoningcoins "View seller's other items" link and it won't take you too long to figure out the answer to your question image

I've seen some nice holdered proof Ikes with very nice color along the rims, but I haven't seen anything that looks legitimate with that many rings...... that dude has a knack for finding those electrified toners....

You could ask the seller what he does to get that toning, but chances are he will ignore you or play dumb.

Emailed the seller for a little training in toning coins. Happen to have 4 blue Ikes to experimint with. This is what I got.

    HI,
SORRY I DON'T KNOW HOW TO TONE COINS, I JUST BUY AND SELL THEM. BUT I DON'T THINK HEAT OR CARDBOARD CAN MAKE OUT RAINBOW IN SHORT TIME. THE DEALER NEVER TOLD ME HOW COINS GOT TONED LIKE THAT PRETTY.
    YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!
