mastro bobby orr rookie GAI 9.5 WOW

did anyone see this yet , considering there aren't any PSA 9's or this card and I don't know of any sgc 9's , this pretty much caught me off guard.

not to mention there is also a gai 8(labeled as opc, great job!) and a gai 8 topps test rookie

  • Just had a cruise at the Mastro auction startin Jul 26. I am extremely concerned with all the sheets on lot number 1940

This is a ton of sheets, alot of future BVG 9.5's again don't these mad man realize that they are doing it again. Too much population will ruin whatever value there is in cards. I wonder if GAI is grading these sheet cut cards also. Judging by the scan good chance!!

The Orr looks too off-center to be sheet cut. With most sheet-cut examples I've seen, it is never anything less than 52/48.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

just a conspiracy theory but what happened to the 3rd 66 sheet in the hockey sheet lot ? I will have to check the last catalog but I remember their being 3 66 sheets in that lot.

This lot is not identical to the last mastro auction , there are other sheets missing like the 70 sticker stamp sheet, is this another lot of was it picked through and sent back for resale?

did anyone confirm who the buyer was? I know it was speculated to be Jason Martin.

Would cutting a card from a sheet a little less than perfectly help deter graders from thinking it was sheet cut?

It could help, I imagine. Most of the BGS-graded sheet cut cards seem to be slightly oversized and perfectly centered. The most tell-tale signs are from looking at the edges underneath a loupe - which I would imagine any competent grading company would do...
