Ever crack out a PCGS holder with your bare hands?

I have tried several times on various occasions to "open" a PCGS slab with my bare hands, always with no success whatsoever. Last night though, just for snicks, I twisted a clad dime slab and VIOLA! it cracked in three places! I guess that ginseng I am taking is good stuff.

I've thought about it but never put that much effort into it. image Was it a new PCGS slab? OGH? Sampleimage?

  • Wow, I'd be careful about doing that. I'd think those sharp plastic shards would do a serious number on your hands. OUCH!

I did it with my Franklin Mint products, I wanted to get the steel cent out of one of there weird plastic coins of the century crap thing, and yeah... My hand stained my moms floor, she was pretty pissed.

Your hands will heal. The scratches on your coins, on the other hand, won't.

    Greg,

Hmmm .... I think I will require you to post a damage deposit before handling any slabs at my tableimage

It adds a real weird color, like a brownish.

No, but I might have to try it now.

I always do it with one bare hand. Of course it's holding bolt-cutters. image
