t206 Magie

This just never stops bothering me. This guys is selling a couple of "old tobacco cards from the hills of Kentucky, could be the real deal!" alongside some 2004 UD Sweet Spot and PSA graded cards. It's not like he doesn't know what he's doing. I love how the corners aren;t rounded but "squared" with a pair of scissors.

On a positive side note, he is selling some 1957 Topps cards that may have the "vending stamp" on the back some folks were talking about earlier, but then again, who knows?

It would also be funny if somebody emailed him asking if his Daunte Culpepper jersey card also came from the same little shop in Harlan, Kentucky.

The scan is so blurry that I can't see if it says Magee or Magie. Since it's almost certainly a reprint that's beeen beat up and its corners rounded to look authentic (they failed in that regard), I would guess it's the rare Magie. If it was a real T206, that is. Wanna bet there is paper damage on the reverse where it usually says reprint?
  • I don't recall ever seeing that T206 Wagner variation they have listed either (LOL!). image

I think this kid is from the hills of Harlan, Kentucky, where punctuation, grammar and spelling are merely afterthoughts.
