I would love advice on selling an arse-load of foreign coins .....

My father-in-law passed away just over 10 years ago, and my wife has finally decided to sell a bunch of his things, including a lot of coins. I know what to do with the lightside stuff because I'm into that somewhat, but I haven't got a clue as to how to sell the foreign coins.
There are at least hundreds, maybe thousands of them. I have examined a bunch of them and, yes, there are a lot of typical Canadian and Mexican coins that look pretty common to me, but there are coins from many countries. There are some ancients, too, but they are pretty rough. Some 19th century British stuff is pretty nice in appearance. I can make a better list of the items over the next couple of weeks if that would help.
My basic questions are:
Should I separate them by country, or country and denomination first?
As I dislike e-Bilge , I would prefer to sell using another venue (like the Buy/Sell Forum here) or are there better places?
Would the common stuff be worth listing anywhere at all?
I would hate to take digital pics of every coin. Would I do better with "lots" ?
Sorry for the length of the post, and I would greatly appreciate any advice you could give me.
Thank you,
Tom

I would seperate by country. Take photos of the lots. Post them here for offers. What have you got for Canadian?

it is silver or uncirculated. If the mixture you end with is of poor quality it is worth
as little as $2 per pound but good mixtures can run up to around $25 per pound.
Higher value coins are best listed and sold individually. Silver worth only two or three
times it's melt value is best sold by the pound also though silver poundage brings more.
Cladking and 1960 - Thank you very much!!!
