Jefferson's are especially low priced!

These coin are the very best mint state moderns available and many oif them are several times below what they normally go for. When is the last time you have seen so many nice PCGS graded coins up for sale at one time by a Dealer outside of the Big Dogs?

It's an ms68. I have only made 1 ms68 jefferson and it sold for well over twice that amount. No one hits Jefferson's harder than me and it's all i have been able to grade that high in 5 years worth of work. It's hard to tell what the price should be, but I would not be surprised if it finds a happy home.

I think on an ms68 nickel, all a photo would tell you it is a nice new shiny looking nickel!

Is it from a mint set?

Thanks guys, it's from a mint set. hard to tell if there will be more made in this grade but they were running nice with several of ms67 quality but it's still hard to get pcgs to pull the trigger on the big grades.

Nice score!! I thought I was the only one finding nice ones!! Too bad it will be September till I see how mine fair. The P's are much nicer than the D's is what I've seen thus far. Strange how it is just the opposite in the Peace Medal series.

I don't understand why sellers do that? Expensive coin and no picture.

I made some 7's too and they are not far off the 8. It really takes a special nickle to make an 8 and like i said, no one has looked at more mint sets in the past 5 years than i and i have only made an 89-p in 8FS and this coin, so I consider this coin difficult until it has an equal. I doubt it is as tough as the Peace medal D mint ms68 mentioned on the boards but it is virtually perfect and not to slight the D mint in any way, but I have never seen a really nice D mint nickle approach a really nice P mint in terms of quality but i'm sure pcgs grades them accordingly given that factor.

Okay, i promise not to double post again!

I'm sure i would get more $ with pictures. Thing is, PCGS is the best and everyone knows what the coins looks like, so I have been gambling that these coins will sell sight unseen and it has worked real well over the past several years. I'm a coin Dealer and not a professional photographer but your point is well taken. i might add, most of the pictures people take are useless anyway. They show that the coin exists only and do not show details. I try to describe them and rely on PCGS's reputation and my own from there.

By the way, the whole reason 3rd party grading came along in the first place, in my opinion, is so the sight unseen coin market can thrive. 18 years later - it's the way
