2004 Fleer Tradition football

I bought a ten pack retail box of these. Most of the cards are red, I got a few that were light blue and a few that were green. Are these short prints?

I bought 3 packs and got 1 green and 3 blues, so I don't think they are SPs. Looking at ebay auctions, I'm puzzled. I got a #348 Johnathan Vilma which I think is a rookie SP. Mine is red, but ebay has auctions for blue and green variations as well. A box break on beckett.com simply lists them as green and blue parallels. So I guess they are just unannounced (or maybe I missed it) parallels that come more than 1 per pack, which is a little odd and slightly annoying. They already have the Crystal parallel.

BTW, this is a nice looking set, IMHO. Clean design, good production on the cards I have, no foil, no really tough cards in the regular set. I didn't even look at the inserts listed on the packs, but I know they appropriated the 1955 Topps Baseball design for one of the GU insert sets. There are SPs, but I'd expect full sets will sell for under $100. There is 1 pack in every hobby box that is all SP rookies, so nothing should be really tough or expensive.
    WANTED:
2005 Origins Old Judge Brown #/20 and Black 1/1s, 2000 Ultimate Victory Gold #/25
2004 UD Legends Bake McBride autos & parallels, and 1974 Topps #601 PSA 9
Rare Grady Sizemore parallels, printing plates, autographs

    Nothing on ebay
  • This is one of the products I break down to make my sets. I haven't sorted the cards yet, but I noticed the red and blue bordered cards also. I just assumed they were part of the regular set and are probably a subset. The crystal parallel cards are stamped so I don't believe these are parallels. At about $40-$44 per box, this is a fun product to break.
