Question about Vam Attribution when submitting...

When submitting a coin for grading and paying for the Vam Designation. Must you know and wright the Vam Number on the form? I am unsure as to the Actual # as I am without a Vam book.

I have an 1886-P with 2 dieclash marks at inside top of right wreath. I thought it was VAM 1c but it is missing the other 3. Maybe it is a Newer stage? Hmmmm...

ANACS and NGC designate the Top 100 VAM numbers on their holders. PCGS doesn't.
