Before I leave CA I'm going to get a bunch of circulated pennies from the bank and look for the 69-s and 70-s DDOs! (I get S's in my change with fairly decent regularity, but no double dies image).

I also love to go through rolls to find coins.

If it's not too late, also look for the 1980 DDO, 1971 and 1972 DDOs, and 1968-D DDR. Also a ton of nice RPMs in the 60s.

Incomplete planchets wanted, especially Lincoln Cents & type coins.

  • I look through about 10000 pennies about once a week or so. I haven't yet found a 95 ddo. Wheats are more rare than you would think and most memorial S's dont go for verry much. The real fun is to get a whitman cardboard book for 3 bucks and try and fill it with the best condition coins that you can find. YOu won't end up with much of any worth (but you wont find stuff worth your time looking through circ pennies anyway) but its a lot of fun. I have a set of dimes all in ms-63 or better from 1975 to 2004 just from circulation stuff that I have pulled out of rolls.
