Assume mint state coins and packaging.

When i read i was just thinking about the 1953 gold and how much that would fetch!
I assume you are talking about the proof set in an original presentation case and not the mint set in plastic. Really nice 1953 proof sets are worth more than $100 nowadays. Watch out for the cases that have the dagger on them - they are modern products made for date sets of circulated coins.
wybrit sez: beware of this type of case - not a proof set!
