Will you miss the National this year?

Will you miss the National this year?

If you are unable to attend the national this year and want me to look for some cards for you, let me know. I will be attending the National all 5 days and will have some extra time on the weekend. Just PM or email me your want list, and telephone number that you can be reached at, and the price you are willing to spend on each card. I will devote the weekend to helping out those collectors who are unable to attend the show. If I see a card that is on your list I will call you from my cell phone and discuss the possible transaction with you.

    Carlos-
That sure is a nice gesture. Are you sure you are up to it? I did this for two close friends last year and was pissed after two hours of looking. One wanted to buy ungraded nrmt/mt 1962 cards and the other wanted graded 1940's commons in PSA 6/7/8 for about half of SMR. Let me tell you that was fun.

I do it where I just tell people what I found of their interest and let them make a decision wether to pick it up or not.

Since the National never comes to the West Coast, presumably because nobody collects out here, I always miss every one.

Seems to be going pretty good so far. Thus far everyone has provided a list of cards with the prices included. Basically I will stay within that framework.

I think it will be fun!!!

First day is over and well, I didnt find very much at all for the year I'm looking for. (1969) Hit Setbuilders , bought 5 cards, 2 White Letters from Levi and thats it. Debating on purchasing a graded 1969 Wax pack (1st series), 1969 Cello pack (Mantle series) and a 1969 Rack, 4th series with alot of Allstar cards visible. I'm just a bit shy on the pricing. All are GAI graded.
Got the Mastronet cat and almost fainted. The vending and unopened is as good if not better than the last auction, minus the 52 Box. Also some very very interesting sets and partials. Another great auction coming.

What was the picture book with all the balls? Looks like it says "Original Hand Painted Baseball Art by someone". Was that a catalog or an art book?

    Great pics!

I haven't been to a National since (gasp!!) 1996 in Anaheim. Us West Coasters haven't seen much action in the past few years.

If I was at this years National, I'd be searching for vintage unopened wax (esp 50's). And drool over the Wagner display at Mastros table....
