Got my two seated halves from the Jim Grey collection today.... Attempt #2...

These two beauties came in the mail today. The 1859-O is very colorful but I had a hard time imaging it. Came out looking dark but is not the case. Has all yellows, blues and roses all over the obverse and reverse. The 1888 is just plain awesome.

I must atone for the glaring error of not giving Mark Feld credit for being my eyes and ears at the sale.

He said both were "very pretty coins" The others I had him look at were all retoned after a cleaning.

Well worth the money spent in the process!! Highly recommend Mark as a auction rep. Good taste, good grading ability and fun to talk to...

Here's the (crappy) B&M scan from the Jim Gray auction, the ex-"Jed Clampett" (aka Buddy Ebsen) half dime that I won/purchased. The coin is much nicer in person, as are most.
