New Member with British coins, any value to them?

image Monday July 19, 2004 10:06 PM (NEW!)

I just sold a collection for a person and they had about 200 British coins that they just wanted to make disappear. I told them that I had no buyers for the British coins and was uninformed as to their value. The US part of their collection brought much more than they excepted, and when I tried to return the British coins they just gave them to me. Most are 1900-1919, with some later and a few 1800's, there are penny, half penny, half crown, 3pence, 6pence, farlings, shillings and others. Any advice on where I could find price lists would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Have a Great Day!

    Louis,

    Welcome!

Krause, used for world coins, can not keep up with recent price trends for high grade British coins. UK guides are rather hard to get or are a bit expensive. The pocket guides cost as much to ship here as the book itself costs.

You would do better to describe the typical condition of the coins or post some pictures. I can give you some approximate values for the coins.

PM me for more info if needed.
