RESULTS - VA was the clear winner! MD & SC received the lowest votes, but percentage-wise, PA (POLL #1) is still top dog.
Going to do several polls to pick the best state quarter design from the first five years. In five or so years, will do another poll for the second batch of 25 and then have the final elimination for the -BEST- state quarter design.
Five polls, one for each year and then the top five from each year will be in the semi-final poll. The design that gets the least votes from all the polls will get the honors of being -THE DOG-

The minuteman is nice...
MD has been the only coin, IMO, that has anything close to a 'classic' look.
NH, oh boy, the blob... but the saying 'Live Free or Die' is has a lot going for it...
and VA with more ships....
a real tough one, none really stand out....
<< <i>The minuteman is the best of a bad lot Don't really like any of them.

I agree although an off-center South Carolina brought me to this Forum. My question was answered by Rick Montgomery.
- hypnotic, ain't it?
is OK. MD and VA could be worse where there is less room for the SC to be worse.
I suppose the NH is my favorite.
