Yes, I have, but not on any of there 'lottery' type auctions. Only single coins. Didn't have any problems.

They did for me. Wasn't even an issue.
  • ONE DAY ONLY: Here's a good metal detecting story you don't want to miss: We found this old bank in an abandoned ghost town in Texas. It was left in the back of a desk drawer. Our metal detector was saying there was something in the drawer, so we had to pull the drawer all the way out, and then we saw it crammed in its hiding place for all these decades. THERE WERE MANY OLD FORT KNOX SAFES ALL WITH COINS IN THEM!! We opened one of the safes, and it contained 77 silver dimes, all from 1945 and earlier, with a few being barbers and one seated liberty from 1877. We are auctioning off the rest of the banks unopened and undescribed. They are all heavy with coins, as we can tell that by the way they jingle when moved around. There is no telling what your safe could contain. The safes are not included, we will just open up your FORT KNOX bank and pour the coins into a zip-lock bag and mail to you. We cannot tell what is inside, so it is sort of a bold risk on your part to bid. By weight, there are probably 50- 150 coins in each. There could be old Indian pennies and other early wheat pennies in these safes, anything is possible. We will not take returns. This is meant to be a fun auction, for those who can't go out metal-detecting themselves. If you find something really great, we are all happy. If you don't, that was the chance you took. It is sort of a risk on your part. But if you want the fun, then go ahead and bid. Well that's the end of our metal detecting story. Is it true? Either way you get some really old coins, and we keep the banks. Thanks for looking and bidding.

Right. There are cheaper ways to pick up cirulated common date coins.

Read that: The safes are not included as we have to re-fill them for future auctions. image

  • I love the part where they found many of these "safes" crammed behind a drawer in a desk.
    Yeah right.
They have one safe, that they pour a handful of old crappy junk coins in, and then pour those out into into a plastic baggy to send to a unsuspecting victim.
Heck they probably just have a picture of a "safe" and just fake the whole thing.

I was thinking they have a safe which has a large opening at the top, like a piggy bank, and when it's almost out of dark, corroded 1958-D Wheaties, they fill it up with more. image
  • That same story has been in that auction for almost a year, if not more.
    Coins, shiny coins!
  • Most of their auctions sound like a rip-off to me.

  • I saw that auction
Young Numismatist that collects: Morgan Dollars, SAE, Proof Sets, and Liberty Nickels.
I also love to go through rolls to find coins.

  • Their feedbacks sucks. If you cannot maintain at least 99% feedback, I will bid on their stuff.
  • It looks more like the old style post office boxes to me

My style is impetuous, my defense is impregnable !
  • The only time I dealt with them, they would not combine shipping. Excuse me, they did combine shipping of 3 coins, but would not combine shipping charges. Jerks!

    I won't bid their items.image
