Bryan I remember your article on the gsa cc dollars in the greysheet awhile back, that article had collectors/dealers alike CHASING them for quite some time, now that things have cooled off Im afraid they will continue to drop like flies? Whats your opinion on their future prices/bid? also what can I use to remove light scratches from the acrylic cases? I have several with light marks/swirls would a buffer work? I used carwax but it didnt help the cases any, it left light scratching ect... Would appreciate any advice? Regards; Harold Reeland

    Harold,

I use a FINE SCRATCH REMOVER, a fairly thick liquidy paste made by Novus. I say 'fine', because they've got three different 'flavors'. The thinest is too thin (almost watery), the one for heavy scratches, is too abrasive in my experience.

The middle one is just right. Works really well, just apply in a circular motion, let dry and then buff. When applying or buffing, don't use too much pressure or you might make stress fractures in the plastic case.

If you're unsure of what you're using, just do a test on the back of the case in a corner rather than directly over the coin.

I understand that forum member Pushkin also sells a scratch remover for slabs that I suspect would work perfectly well on GSA's too.

Bryan, Have any of these left? How many? Thanks; Harold

    Harold,

Yes, I've got some left. I believe that I've got about 20 or so. Unfortunately, I've not seen any recently on ebay. The price of $425.00 that I posted is from over a year ago.

In the past, I've always priced them back of ebay pricing to be fair and to give the buyers some room for profit if they chose to sell them soon after purchase.

Can anyone here provide any links to recent sales on ebay?

    Thanks!

  • Pushkin's Scratch Remover is the finest I have ever used. Get in touch with him in the forums. Great stuff
