My oldman gave me on of these a long time ago. I put it on eBay about 2 years ago and the hammer price was $300 or more. I didn't know if it was a replication, and he wasn't around to ask.
What is money, in reality, but dirty pieces of paper and metal upon which privilege is stamped?
I just bought one of those from another dealer for $2 last week. I gave it to my 6 year old son, Danny. He just loves it because he is a Benjamin Franklin fan and I told him of Franklin's link to the design of the Continental Dollar and Fugio coppers. This is one of the most commonly reproduced coin designs of all time. The one in the auction is a mediocre attempt at reproduction of the Continental Currency, but still easily identifiable as a copy.
