Hi,
I received a 1905 IHC today in change. Nothing remarkable about the coin: no LIBERTY, reverse worn.
Enough to get my heart pumping though.

  • image Excellent! It's been years since I've gotten one in change.
  • I've never gotten anything older than 1938 (Jefferson nickel) in change. Lucky find.

Sweet! I've (rarely) found well-worn IHCs in rolls before, a LONG time ago (when I used get rolls at a bank as a kid in the mid-1970s), but I've never found older than a 1910 Lincoln in circulation. Surprisingly, that coin was VF.

I love getting the old coins in change. I haven't even see a wheat eared cent in a long time. when I was a kid there were ihc, buffs, merc, barbers, slq, and walker all the time. that was back in the 50s.

I hate it when you see my post before I can edit the spelling.
