1878 7TF VAM question, Grade to if you want

Can anyone give me a VAM on this,, it has the point on the 3rd star right missing ans apparent double ridge on the "S"

This one's tough to grade. The strike looks good and the luster is okay, but the black stuff on the reverse is not attractive.

This was stuck in an old album,, looks like a tar-like substance ON the coin.

Is that a 7/8 coin? There are 3 extra tailfeathers from the photo, but I can't vam it.

There is no overdate visable and I count 7 TF, There is a die crack from the upper right sheif of the "U" all the way around to the "I" in America on the Reverse
